You attain self-mastery by examining all seven areas, developing what is out of balance, and integrating them into a meaningful life.

Mastery is your ability to embody the full range of human experience. It begins by examining each area of your life to see where you stand. As you develop what you’ve neglected, you get to know yourself.
As you bring each life area into balance, your gift naturally reveals itself. This is your unique way to contribute to the world. To live your own life and no one else’s is the most rewarding thing you’ll ever do.
Service lies at the heart of integration. Manifesting your gift into the world brings lasting fulfillment. By serving the greater whole, you create a life of alignment, achievement, and purpose.
Few people ever reach their full potential. What prevents them from flourishing are the external and internal pressures of the world, forcing them to cultivate certain areas at the cost of others.
Some build successful careers that feel utterly meaningless. Others nurture their family lives at the cost of their health. Still others create endlessly, yet lack the structure to bring their work into the world.
Creating harmony across every dimension of your life is no easy task. With few positive role models and institutions that suppress human wholeness, achieving true balance requires a new way to look at life.
We live in a fractured culture designed to distract us. Because the outside world will constantly pull you off course, you must actively define your own direction. That starts by taking full responsibility for your life.
Integration begins with self-awareness. We are multifaceted beings, yet our default modes of operating are often unconscious. Only when you see where you stand can you begin to develop the neglected areas of your life.
Small changes compound as you cultivate each area. Elevating one domain will naturally lift others. As each area comes into balance, your purpose emerges. This allows you to live from the core of who you are.
Examine every area. Develop what is out of balance.
Integrate to achieve self-mastery.

The inner world: the depth of connection with people and nature, the capacity to feel and create, and connection with what is sacred.
When your life is in alignment, you’ll discover your gift. Knowing who you are will guide you in the right direction, while a lack of self-knowledge results in a life that’s not your own.
The outer world: health and vitality, clarity and knowledge through thought, and both access to and an abundance of resources.
When you live with achievement, you’ll actualize your gift. Developing your capabilities enables you to create in the world, while a lack of skill results in unfulfilled potential.
Purpose lies at the intersection of alignment and achievement. Manifesting your gift into the world is what creates lasting fulfillment.
A life with purpose moves beyond the individual. Because human existence is interconnected, honoring the relationship between self and world is where meaning is found.
